Curtain Considerations

You can do so much with curtains, gladly curtains are getting a little bit more of a moment with added embellishments, a little more flare and at the very least, the realisation that they really do complete a room.

There are many ways you can tackle a curtain and many considerations when making your curtain decisions. Here are our top 5.

  1. Curtains should ALWAYS touch the floor, never end at the window of half way between the window and floor.
  2. Add a beautiful chunky trim to elevate a plain curtain if you are worried about full patterns and colour.
  3. Fuller curtains mean a more expensive look.
  4. Double curtains are a favourite of ours, a sheer for privacy and filtering light and a heavy top curtain for black out.
  5. Always go for a version of a roman blind over and above a roller blind. You can't see the fabric when it's rolled up.
