The design studio shaping spaces for life.

treowe is an interiors studio and shop in Blackheath Village, London. We design and deliver whole home renovations, hands-on across the design and the build, so nothing gets lost between the drawing and the finished room. And between projects, the shop door is open.

The Belief

A home should be designed around the way you actually live. Not the way the floor plan suggests you might, or the way a magazine says you should. The way you do.

It sounds obvious. It changes everything. It means we ask about your mornings before we move any walls. It means storage is designed before sockets are placed, and the kitchen is planned around who actually cooks. It means every finish has to earn its place, because you'll be living with it for twenty years, not photographing it for one.

Most renovations are designed from the structure inwards, with life fitted into whatever is left. We've spent years working the other way round, and we've never found a reason to stop.

And for those looking for something more singular in nature, we offer a bespoke service in the shop for the pieces that deserve to be made properly — curtains that kiss the floor, headboards that make a statement, soft furnishings that last.

It's the treowe approach, at whatever scale makes sense for you right now.

The Story

treowe was founded by Lu Fitoussi-Findlay — architectural interior designer, three-time renovator, and the voice behind the interiors podcast When the Dust Settles.

Lu has been designing London homes for over nine years, published since 2018. But what shapes treowe most is that she's renovated her own home three times, and knows firsthand what the process does to your patience, your weekends and your marriage.

That's why treowe is one team across the whole project: drawings, planning, interiors, buying, build. Every gap between separate companies is a gap your project can fall into. We've stood in those gaps as clients. We don't leave them open for ours.

The team

Behind every project is a small but mighty team who genuinely care. They're the ones chasing a delayed fabric order across three countries, or quietly fixing a scratched table before a client ever sees it. Designers with technical depth, project managers who answer the phone, and purchasers who treat your delivery like it's going to their own house.

We're proud of the drawings and the homes we create, but proudest of the people behind them. The pretty pictures get the sign-off; the technical work and dedicated project management are what bring them to life.

The Shop

Opened in November 2023, the treowe shop grew out of a simple thought: the pieces we source for client projects shouldn't stay behind closed doors.

It's a gentle introduction to the way we design. A place to handle the materials, meet the makers and find the pieces we return to again and again. You'll find finishes, fabrics and homeware we believe in, much of it made locally, all of it chosen with care.

It's also where you'll find our individual bespoke offerings from curtains to custom rugs, headboards and more. Designed with care and attention and offering a complete measure to instal service.

Come in for a gift, stay for a conversation. A surprising number of our full renovations began with someone wandering in on a Saturday, and we like it that way. It's the treowe approach, at whatever scale makes sense for you right now.
