A ceramic match box with a Pickled Mouse on the lid, hand made and glazed by ceramicist Jo Laing. He is a picture of merriment, glass raised and ready to sneak a kiss under the mistletoe this Christmas.

Each lid is made by hand in Stoke-on-Trent, so no two are quite the same. Jo signs and numbers every one. The box has a striker strip, so it works as well as it looks.

Inside you will find 40 coloured, extra long safety matches. Leave it out beside the candles, or give it as a host gift.

The glazes react in the kiln, so you may see fine crackles on the surface. That is part of the firing and part of the charm. The box measures 10cm by 6.5cm and is 3cm high.
