Emily Mitchell is a ceramic artist based in Norwich, creating both hand-built and wheel-thrown pieces from her studio. Her work draws inspiration from the rich tradition of early English Delftware, reinterpreting its distinctive cobalt blue decoration and white tin-glazed surfaces through a contemporary lens.

Originally from Kent, Emily studied at Central Saint Martins in London, where she began to develop the creative foundations that continue to shape her practice today. Working with clay for over six years, she has cultivated a deep appreciation for the material and its possibilities, embracing the continual process of learning, refinement and discovery that ceramics offers.
